Lodyn has been awarded the “Product of the Year 2016” at the “V National Awards of The Supplement” for its innovative development in animal nutrition to produce healthier dairy products for people.

The article published in the official magazine of the contest is the following:
“The company Lodyn uses the “Lody-milk” method, which consists in making the goats naturally produce a milk rich in Omega 3. This quality is achieved thanks to a controlled feeding of the grass and introducing a patented feed made by them with vegetable ingredients rich in fats such as those provided by flax seeds.
The result is a pure goat cheese with less saturated fats, more monounsaturated fats, more polyunsaturated fats and a high content of Omega 3 acids that is sold in the national and international markets. This product, therefore, contains an Omega 6 / Omega 3 ratio of 1.1, compared to an average of 7.19 for conventional goat cheeses, bearing in mind that the ideal target is four or less. Its regular consumption within a hypocaloric diet improves the lipid profile in overweight and obese people with cardiovascular risk.
Lodyn has earned the V Prize for the 2016 Supplement in the Product of the Year category. The statuette was collected by Juan Carlos Rodríguez Lozano, commercial director, and Alfonso García García, director of R + D + i. García García explained that research, development and innovation “require an important effort”. “It is an adventure,” he continued, “that we started in 2004. We were convinced that we could do something different thanks to R + D + i. Since 2004 we have believed more and more in ourselves and if that amount of work, the challenge is achieved ».
This company is dedicated since 2003 to innovation, development and marketing of new products for the feeding of milk ruminants (cow, sheep and goat) that result in the production, by the animal, of totally differentiated milk, with functional properties and healthy demonstrable for the development of dairy foods with beneficial effects for health and, therefore, can improve the quality of life of people. Different certifications and recognitions guarantee its trajectory and its product: highlighted as Pyme Innovadora (Innovative Company) by the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness; product endorsed and recognized by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Spanish Heart Foundation, as well as by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) and by a nutritional clinical trial conducted at La Paz Hospital (Madrid).”
